IMA backs sports and recreation at Braunstone School

June 6th, 2025 | News

The IMA team is pleased to have supported Leicester’s Braunstone Frith Primary Academy by sponsoring the kit for the new football season and helping to upgrade its playground facilities.

For the last few years, the amount of football kit has been slowly dwindling away, either getting lost in sports bags or being left behind at home in wash piles. So much so that the boys’ team were sharing kit with the girls, leading to more lost items and a random selection of sizes and matching items.

IMA has stepped up and sponsored a new kit for the boys’ team for the 2025 season, starting in September. The new orange and black shirts, with green and black goalkeeper jersey, have the IMA logo on the front and numbers printed on the back – a new addition from the previous set.

Joe Travers, Director at IMA, whose partner is a Teacher at the school, said: “We’re really pleased to be able to lend our support to the Braunstone Frith Primary School. It’s important to IMA to have a positive impact in our local community. The new kits look really smart, yet they are also practical. Now with the numbers on the back, they can be signed in and out so that if they go missing, there is a hope of getting them back again – preventing the girls and boy’s teams from having to mix and match kit!”

The IMA team is hoping to get down to a game in the Autumn to see the players in action.

In the new playground, IMA has provided sponsorship to assist with an upgrade to the existing outdoor playground space.  Along with sponsorship from other parties, the school has been able to complete the playground project which now has new wooden picnic tables with parasols, planters with trellis for growing climbing plants and a vibrant green wall which creates a space for artwork, maps, information about nature and wildlife.  There is also a bench where pupils can sit if they are on their own which let others know that they would like someone to play with.

Joe adds, “The new playground provides a great space for playtime and gives lots of places to sit, make friends and learn about nature. It was great to be able to provide sponsorship to the school to assist the staff and pupils in delivering this space. Kudos to students and staff alike on providing an interesting and engaging space for the school.”
