Sofia Coviello Qualifies as an Architect

We are pleased to announce that Sofia Coviello has officially qualified as an Architect, marking the culmination of eight years of study, training and professional practice completed alongside her Degree Apprenticeship.

Sofia has successfully completed her professional training and is now registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB), achieving a significant milestone in her career.

Sofia joined IMA Architects in March 2021 and has progressed through the practice while completing her Level 7 Architect Degree Apprenticeship with the University of Nottingham. Throughout this period, she balanced the demands of full-time professional practice with academic study, gaining experience across design development, technical coordination and client liaison.

During her time at IMA, Sofia has worked on a range of large-scale industrial and commercial projects, taking increasing responsibility for design packages and project delivery. Her experience has included logistics and distribution facilities, cold-store developments and data-led infrastructure projects, providing a strong and varied foundation as she progresses as a qualified Architect.

Sofia’s qualification adds to a strong year for professional development at IMA Architects. Over the past 12 months, the practice has also supported Joe Travers, Director at IMA Architects, and Tasawar Rahim through to qualification as fully registered Architects, reflecting the practice’s continued investment in people and professional progression.

Commenting on her qualification, Sofia said:

I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work alongside some brilliant people and I’m especially grateful for the support I’ve received from IMA Architects throughout my apprenticeship. Their guidance, trust and encouragement have played a huge role in shaping me professionally, and I’m excited for the next stage of my career.”
